Air Liquide is hiring a Freight Analyst to join our Global Helium team, based in Dubai (Jebel Ali Free Zone). In this local-country role, you will contribute to freight cost controlling, procurement, and digitalization efforts, working closely with digital, procurement, and global supply chain teams.
What You'll Do
- Control and validate Helium freight invoices in coordination with carriers, shipping lines, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.
- Supervise the interface between suppliers and our global freight auditor, and manage the relationship with the 3rd party audit provider.
- Consolidate freight data and costs on a monthly basis, ensuring accuracy in financial closing and variance analysis.
- Provide analytical support for freight KPIs, issuing the monthly Maritime Freight Flash and other operational reports.
- Support the Freight Procurement Manager in tenders, negotiations, and supplier evaluations.
- Update freight rates following RFQ results and maintain accurate records of all contractual updates.
- Create purchase requisitions and perform goods receipts for all freight service providers.
- Engage with global suppliers and identify synergies to optimize sourcing strategies across regions.
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards to consolidate freight cost history and monitor performance per container, per route, and per region.
- Build tools for CO₂ emissions monitoring and sustainability reporting.
- Collaborate with the Digital/TMS team to migrate current dashboards into the Transport Management System (TMS).
- Leverage AI solutions (Gemini) to explore automation of freight invoice auditing and accelerate scenario simulations.
What We're Looking For
- Master’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or related field with a specialization in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Finance.
- Proficiency in Power BI data modeling and transformation, including using DAX for calculated columns, measures, and tables, as well as cleaning and transforming data with the Query Editor.
- Proficiency with the G Suite environment, specifically G Sheet.
- Interest in working in an industrial environment.
- Proactivity, autonomy, and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a multicultural, international environment.
- Excellent relational capacities. Able to communicate effectively at different levels (from field operator to C-level).
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- English fluency.
Nice to Have
- Experience with TMS and/or freight audit processes.
- French language skills.
- Chinese language skills.
