About the Role
This role involves creating and formatting subtitles for digital video content in multiple languages, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and proper synchronization with audio.
Responsibilities
- Transcribe spoken audio into written text with high accuracy
- Synchronize subtitles to match on-screen dialogue timing
- Translate source audio into target languages when required
- Follow style guidelines for punctuation, formatting, and readability
- Review and revise subtitles based on feedback
- Meet deadlines for time-sensitive media projects
- Ensure cultural appropriateness of translated text
- Maintain consistency in terminology and tone
- Work with various video formats and subtitle file types
- Adapt dialogue to fit reading speed and line length standards
- Handle content across different genres including documentaries, commercials, and educational material
- Report technical issues in source files promptly
- Use subtitling software and text editors efficiently
- Manage multiple assignments simultaneously
- Preserve speaker intent and emotional tone in text
