Mindrift is looking for a Freelance Software Developer (Rust) - Quality Assurance (AI Trainer) to help shape the future of generative AI. In this role, you will work on improving AI models by generating and reviewing code, evaluating prompts, and training models. You'll contribute to this collaborative, global effort from anywhere, on your own schedule.

What You'll Do

Generate and review code to train and evaluate large language models
Conduct prompt evaluation and complex data annotation
Benchmark and execute code in sandboxed environments
Work across multiple programming languages like Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Rust, and SQL
Adapt project guidelines for new domains and use cases
Collaborate with project leads, solution engineers, and supply managers on complex tasks
Follow specific project rubrics and requirements

What We're Looking For

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
At least 3 years of professional experience with Rust
Hands-on experience with Rust testing tools like cargo test and property-based testing
Familiarity with Rust tooling, including Cargo, Clippy, and rustfmt
Experience with code review, quality analysis, and identifying code or type issues
Familiarity with test integration in CI/CD environments
An advanced (C1) or higher level of English
Ability to learn new methods, switch between tasks quickly, and work with complex guidelines
A laptop, internet connection, available time, and enthusiasm for the challenge

Nice to Have

Experience using, integrating, or tutoring others with AI solutions or LLMs in Rust or test automation contexts
