Side is looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer to join our team. In this remote role, you will focus on crafting high-quality automated tests, with an emphasis on API testing, to enhance our software quality and user experience. You will develop and maintain automated test frameworks, integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines, and serve as a technical expert in automation.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain robust automated test frameworks primarily focused on API testing, ensuring comprehensive coverage and reliability of backend services.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, collaborating closely with DevOps and Infrastructure teams to enhance deployment processes.
- Design and implement efficient testing solutions for APIs, ensuring the accuracy, performance, and stability of test scenarios.
- Serve as a technical expert in automation, assisting in the selection and adaptation of various testing tools and frameworks.
- Lead projects from inception to completion, ensuring that quality standards and deadlines are met.
- Actively communicate and collaborate across teams to troubleshoot complex issues, delivering solutions that improve product reliability.
What We're Looking For
- Extensive experience in software test automation (4+ years) including hands-on expertise with API testing frameworks.
- Proficiency in scripting with Python.
- Experience with Postman and JMeter.
- Proven ability to lead projects and push initiatives toward completion while maintaining a meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical issues and solutions to various stakeholders.
- Strong experience in integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and collaborating with DevOps teams to optimize processes.
- A track record of innovative problem-solving and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
- A collaborative spirit, capable of working effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
- Candidate must reside within Portugal with legal right to live and work in Portugal.
Nice to Have
- Experience with hardware testing is highly desirable and considered a significant advantage.
