Senior AQA Engineer role working on a client project in the vehicle lifecycle solutions domain. Responsibilities include designing and maintaining test automation frameworks, executing testing across UI, API, performance, and data quality layers, and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Agile methodology.
Responsibilities
- Create, implement, and sustain scalable and reliable test automation frameworks using tools including Selenium, Cucumber, Playwright, Python, Postman, SoapUI, and JMeter
- Develop and run automated tests for UI, API, integration, component, performance, load, regression, and data quality, with full integration into pipelines
- Construct test suites using non-UI methods such as REST/SOAP APIs, microservices, backend components, workflow automation, scheduled jobs, and data pipelines
- Design and manage reusable, modular automation code to support scalable regression testing across multiple systems and environments
- Implement testing solutions that work across different browsers and platforms
- Build automated performance and load testing frameworks to assess system reliability, capacity, scalability, and failover capabilities
- Evaluate test outcomes and work closely with development, DevOps, and product teams to identify, prioritize, and resolve issues
- Offer technical input to enhance system design for improved performance, reliability, and scalability
- Take part in testing activities for pre-production and post-production releases, analyze results, detect risks, and authorize deployments
- Stay up to date with emerging automation tools, software development technologies, cloud platforms, and modern quality engineering practices
- Use SQL to verify test data, configure test scenarios, and validate backend behavior via direct database queries
- Collaborate across functional teams in a fast-moving Agile/Scrum setting to align test automation with business objectives
- Utilize AI-powered automation tools like GitHub Copilot and Playwright Test Generator to accelerate test creation, data generation, and framework development
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Minimum of five years of direct experience in QA automation, performance testing, or software development
- High level of skill with test automation frameworks, UI and API testing tools, and performance/load testing technologies
- Solid knowledge of relational databases and ability to write advanced SQL queries
- Strong understanding of SDLC and CI/CD pipelines, with proven experience integrating automated tests into DevOps processes
- Experience developing and running large-scale automated test suites across multiple services or products
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Ability to collaborate effectively with development, product, DevOps, and architecture teams
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Experience working within Agile and Scrum frameworks
