SGS Australia / Fulcrum Robotics is hiring a Field Test Engineer (QA Engineer I) for a full-time, on-site position in Dallas, TX. In this dynamic role, you will conduct field testing with daily assignments that vary by location, focusing on quality assurance for mobile technologies.
What You'll Do
- Execute test execution, quality assurance, manual testing, and software testing.
- Post-process logs and maintain detailed daily reports.
- Manage inventory with secure check-in/out procedures and handle shipments to/from the office.
- Travel to test locations as required.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- A basic understanding of 3G, 4G, and 5G network technology.
Nice to Have
- Experience in test execution, QA, manual and software testing, modem, network, and application log analysis.
- Experience with MediaTek, Samsung, and Qualcomm Chipsets.
- Knowledge of creating detailed technical reports, troubleshooting network and device issues, and writing defect reports in systems like JIRA.
- Basic knowledge of Python for reading code and making minor script changes; some knowledge of Visual Basic and creating Excel macros.
- Experience with PowerBi or similar tools for creating reports from CSV or DB data, and basic SQL query skills.
- Familiarity with 5G Data Performance KPIs, Call Performance KPIs, e911 procedure, LPP, IMS protocol, and WiFi Calling.
- Mobile device testing or automation testing experience is a plus.
