Sun Life of Canada is hiring a Testing Analyst

The Testing Analyst operates within the Client Experience Office, reporting to the Scrum Master and working closely with an agile marketing team. The role is responsible for delivering structured testing services across digital platforms to ensure marketing deliverables meet quality standards and enhance client experience.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct testing and validation of marketing campaigns across secure website, mobile application, email, and call center channels in both test and production environments
  • Convert business and technical requirements into specific data needs for testing from various source systems
  • Modify and manage test data attributes in databases using SQL commands
  • Produce and maintain high-quality testing documentation and activities within the Agile team, including estimates, test scenarios, test cases, execution, defect tracking, reporting, and final test summaries
  • Extract or identify relevant test data from application source systems through data mining techniques
  • Assist in resolving issues that occur in either test or production environments
  • Develop and update regression testing frameworks and maintain training materials
  • Collaborate with the Testing Center of Excellence to align testing practices and adhere to organizational standards

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of experience leading testing efforts on small to medium-sized projects, with exposure to multi-browser and multi-device testing environments
  • Proficiency in using basic SQL statements for database queries and data modeling, along with experience in data mining
  • Hands-on experience with digital campaign deployment tools such as SAS and Adobe Campaign
  • Demonstrated ability to create and execute various types of test cases, including regression, web, and email testing
  • Strong communication skills with a proactive approach to collaboration
  • Ability to manage shifting priorities, adapt to changes, handle delays, and respond to unexpected events with urgency and efficiency
  • Experience using Jira and Wrike for project and task tracking

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices
  • Knowledge of mobile testing tools such as Mobile Center or similar platforms
  • Hold or actively pursuing a Certified Software Tester (CSTE) designation

Compensation

Base pay ranges from 60,000 to 97,000 CAD annually. Eligible employees may participate in incentive plans based on individual and company performance. Sales-related roles may include performance-based incentives.

Work Arrangement

Hybrid model allowing flexibility to work from the office or remotely, depending on business requirements, client needs, and personal preferences. Specific arrangements can be discussed during the hiring process.

Part of an Agile pod within the Client Experience Office, collaborating with an agile marketing team. Reports directly to the Scrum Master.
