About the Role
The role involves managing the lifecycle of a LIMS solution in a clinical diagnostics context, working closely with stakeholders to define product direction, prioritize features, and coordinate delivery across technical teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle for a Laboratory Information Management System
- Collaborate with clinical and technical teams to gather and refine requirements
- Define product roadmap and feature priorities based on business needs
- Translate diagnostic workflows into functional system specifications
- Support integration of LIMS with laboratory instruments and external systems
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards in clinical environments
- Monitor system performance and user feedback for continuous improvement
- Facilitate communication between development teams and business stakeholders
- Manage backlog and coordinate sprint planning with agile teams
- Document product features, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Oversee user acceptance testing and validation processes
- Drive adoption through training materials and user support
- Evaluate new technologies and vendors relevant to LIMS capabilities
- Maintain alignment between IT strategy and diagnostic operations
- Report on project progress and product KPIs to leadership
- Ensure data integrity and traceability within the system
- Address change requests and system enhancements efficiently
- Promote best practices in product management and software delivery
- Work with cybersecurity and compliance teams to meet data protection standards
- Support audit readiness and documentation for regulatory inspections
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with LIMS implementation or customization
- Knowledge of laboratory automation and instrument interfacing
- Background in molecular diagnostics or clinical testing
- Certification in product management or agile practices
- Experience in a GLP or GxP regulated environment
- Familiarity with cloud-based software platforms
- Exposure to DevOps or CI/CD practices
- Understanding of API design and integration patterns
- Prior work in a diagnostic or life sciences organization
