Mindrift is looking for a Freelance Financial Analyst to apply their domain expertise in training frontier AI systems. In this role, you will be instrumental in creating realistic, complex financial scenarios that challenge and improve AI agents.
What You'll Do
- Create complex, realistic tasks that push frontier AI agents to their limits using scattered data and conditional procedures.
- Build detailed task versions with objective scoring, then write ambiguous versions to train the agent with less hand-holding.
- Directly shape how useful AI models become for your own future work by creating training prompts and refining model responses.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Finance or a related field.
- Professional experience in finance with a minimum of 3 years in relevant fields such as investment firms, banks, consulting, or financial institutions.
- Familiarity with tools including Excel (advanced), R, Python, MATLAB, and SQL.
- Ability to write clearly and professionally, explaining complex tasks in simple, structured language.
- Ability to analyze and synthesize information from multiple sources into accurate, coherent outputs.
- Creativity in designing realistic and engaging examples, cases, or workflows based on your domain knowledge.
- Proven ability to use English fluently in professional settings, written and verbal (C1/C2 level).
- Access to a laptop, stable internet connection, and sufficient availability to engage with project tasks.
- Motivation to work with challenging, complex guidelines, learn new methods, and strengthen domain-specific skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience in cross-functional, applied, or international projects, especially if expertise has been used in real-world or consulting contexts.
- Holding a CFA or any related globally recognized qualification.
