Mindrift is looking for a Freelance Accounting Consultant - AI Trainer to apply genuine domain expertise to the development of advanced AI agents. In this role, you will create complex, realistic tasks designed to push frontier AI systems to their limits, involving scattered data and conditional procedures. Your work will directly shape how useful AI models become for professionals in your field.
What You'll Do
- Create complex, realistic tasks that push frontier AI agents to their limits, involving scattered data and conditional procedures.
- Build a detailed version of tasks with objective scoring.
- Write an ambiguous version of tasks intended to train the agent to succeed with less hand-holding.
- Directly shape how useful AI models become for your own future work by creating training prompts and refining model responses.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Auditing, Financial Accounting, or closely aligned areas.
- Minimum of 3 years professional industry experience in accounting in relevant fields (e.g., audit, financial reporting, internal controls, tax, management accounting).
- Familiarity with US GAAP standards.
- Advanced (C1) or above level of English proficiency.
- Ability to write clearly and professionally, including explaining complex tasks in simple, structured language.
- Ability to analyze and synthesize information from multiple sources and turn it into accurate, coherent outputs.
- Creativity in designing realistic and engaging examples, cases, or workflows based on your domain knowledge.
- Motivation to work with challenging, complex, but well-defined guidelines, learn new methods, and strengthen domain-specific skills.
- Ready to learn new methods, able to switch between tasks and topics quickly.
- Laptop, internet connection, and time available.
Nice to Have
- Chartered accountancy qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or ICAEW.
- Experience in cross-functional, applied, or international projects, especially if your expertise has been used in real-world or consulting contexts.
