Mindrift is looking for a Freelance Tax Accountant to shape the future of AI. In this role, you will leverage your accounting expertise to create complex and realistic training tasks that push frontier AI agents to their limits. You will directly influence how useful AI models become for professionals in your field.
What You'll Do
- Create complex, realistic tasks designed to challenge frontier AI agents.
- Build detailed task versions with objective scoring criteria.
- Write ambiguous task versions that train agents to succeed with less hand-holding.
- Shape AI model capabilities for your domain by creating training prompts and refining model responses.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Auditing, Financial Accounting, or a closely aligned area.
- A minimum of 3 years of professional industry experience in relevant fields such as audit, financial reporting, internal controls, tax, or management accounting.
- Familiarity with US GAAP standards.
- Ability to write clearly and professionally, explaining complex tasks in simple, structured language.
- Ability to analyze and synthesize information from multiple sources into accurate, coherent outputs.
- Creativity in designing realistic and engaging examples, cases, or workflows.
- Proven C1/C2 level fluency in English for professional use, both written and verbal.
- Access to a laptop, stable internet connection, and sufficient availability for project tasks.
- Motivation to work with challenging guidelines, learn new methods, and strengthen domain skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience in cross-functional, applied, or international projects, especially in real-world or consulting contexts.
- A chartered accountancy qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or ICAEW.
