Mindrift is looking for a Freelance Financial Analyst - AI Trainer to directly shape the capabilities of frontier AI models. In this role, you will use your deep financial expertise to create the complex, realistic tasks that will train AI agents to perform sophisticated analysis with greater independence.

What You'll Do

Create complex, realistic tasks that push frontier AI agents to their limits using scattered data and conditional procedures.
Build detailed tasks with objective scoring, then write ambiguous versions intended to train the agent to succeed with less hand-holding.
Directly shape how useful AI models become for your own future work by creating training prompts and refining model responses.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Commerce, Auditing, Economics, Taxation, Financial Accounting, or other business/quantitative fields with a finance focus.
Minimum of 3 years of professional industry experience in finance or a related field (e.g., investment firms, banks, consulting firms, financial institutions, or government ministries).
Ability to write clearly and professionally, including explaining complex tasks in simple, structured language.
Ability to analyze and synthesize information from multiple sources and turn it into accurate, coherent outputs.
Creativity in designing realistic and engaging examples, cases, or workflows based on your domain knowledge.
Proven ability to use English fluently in professional settings, written and verbal (C1/C2 level).
Access to a laptop, stable internet connection, and sufficient availability to engage with project tasks.
Motivation to work with challenging, complex guidelines, learn new methods, and strengthen domain-specific skills.

Nice to Have

Experience in cross-functional, applied, or international projects is an advantage, particularly where expertise has been applied in real-world or consulting contexts.
Having CFA or any related globally recognized qualification is an advantage.
Familiarity with tools such as Excel (advanced), R, Python, MATLAB, SQL.
