Mindrift is looking for a Freelance Accounting Consultant - AI Trainer to create complex, realistic tasks that push frontier AI agents to their limits. You will use your deep domain expertise to directly shape how AI models understand and communicate in accounting.
What You'll Do
- Create complex, realistic accounting tasks involving scattered data and conditional procedures to challenge AI agents.
- Build detailed versions of each task with objective scoring criteria.
- Write ambiguous versions of tasks to train AI agents to succeed with less hand-holding.
- Create training prompts and refine model responses to directly shape the usefulness of AI models.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Auditing, Financial Accounting, or a closely aligned field.
- Professional industry experience in accounting with a minimum of 3 years in relevant fields like audit, financial reporting, internal controls, tax, or management accounting.
- Familiarity with US GAAP standards.
- Ability to write clearly and professionally, explaining complex tasks in simple, structured language.
- Ability to analyze and synthesize information from multiple sources into accurate, coherent outputs.
- Creativity in designing realistic and engaging examples, cases, or workflows based on your domain knowledge.
- Proven C1/C2 level fluency in English, written and verbal.
- Access to a laptop, stable internet connection, and sufficient availability to engage with project tasks.
- Motivation to work with challenging guidelines, learn new methods, and strengthen domain-specific skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience in cross-functional, applied, or international projects, especially in real-world or consulting contexts.
- A chartered accountancy qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or ICAEW.
