Primer is hiring its first Founding Recruiter to build our hiring engine from the ground up. This is a critical, hands-on role where you will be the force behind scaling our team as we work to fix the K-12 education system. You will own end-to-end recruiting across all functions, sourcing niche talent to solve novel problems.
What You'll Do
- Own end-to-end recruiting across key roles at Primer — from sourcing to close — with a focus on quality, speed, and candidate experience.
- Partner closely with hiring managers across teams (education, operations, engineering, product, finance, and more) to understand their needs and build strong pipelines of exceptional candidates.
- Build and maintain candidate outreach strategies — including cold sourcing, passive engagement, and creative ways to reach new talent pools.
- Manage internal hiring infrastructure, ensuring every candidate moves through a clear, well-structured process.
- Quickly ramp up on new roles and lead first-round screening calls for teams across the company.
- Represent Primer to candidates with professionalism, clarity, and excitement about our mission — you’ll almost always be their first impression of our team.
- Track and report on recruiting progress and metrics to the leadership team, ensuring we’re constantly improving with each new search.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in a full-cycle recruiting or talent acquisition role.
- Proven success sourcing and hiring for a range of roles, from individual contributors to leadership positions across many teams.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to build trust with both candidates and the internal team.
- High agency and high organizational skills — you’ll need to manage multiple searches and deliver an exceptional candidate experience.
