What You'll Do
Install, test, and maintain fire alarm systems across commercial and residential properties, ensuring all components meet current fire safety regulations. Conduct routine and emergency inspections to verify proper system function and code compliance, identifying deficiencies and making necessary repairs.
Document findings in detailed reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all records. Operate and maintain service vehicles and warehouse equipment safely, following manufacturer guidelines and company safety policies. Keep workspaces organized and adhere to all personal protective equipment requirements.
Respond to urgent service requests as needed and support team efforts in both independent and collaborative settings. Follow all company conduct, confidentiality, and safety standards while performing assigned tasks.
Requirements
- 3–4 years of experience in the fire alarm or life safety industry
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation
- Ability to interpret fire codes, safety regulations, and technical documentation
- Strong understanding of NFPA standards, particularly 70 and 72
- Proficiency in using power tools, ladders, and medium-sized equipment
- Capable of working independently and leading tasks when required
- Strong attention to detail in recordkeeping and inspection reporting
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, or travel as needed
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
Preferred Qualifications
- NICET certification or progress toward it
- FASA or BASA credentials
- Experience with both commercial and residential alarm systems
- Proven troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
