Duckbill is seeking a FinOps Engineer to help our customers understand and optimize their AWS spend. You will work closely with executives and engineers, leading projects in large, complex AWS environments.
What You'll Do
- Identify cost reduction opportunities at an architectural level.
- Build cost forecasting models.
- Create better governance and cost management controls.
- Assess customer's internal cost management programs.
- Communicate across multiple teams, from Engineering to Finance and up to the C-suite, via email, Slack, and video calls.
- Work directly with customers to help them understand their AWS spend and optimize it based on their unique architecture and business goals.
- Keep up to date on the latest AWS news and changes, continually building your expertise.
- Take a data-driven approach to cost management, diving deep for answers.
What We're Looking For
- Strong understanding of AWS concepts, tools, and services.
- Prior experience communicating effectively with executive audiences.
- Prior experience in AWS cost management.
- Prior experience working in a consultative, customer-facing role.
- Must be US-based and legally authorized to work in the United States.
