The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay is hiring a Financial Specialist III to provide complex financial transaction support, reconciliation, and customer service for the Office of Online & Professional Learning Resources (OPLR). In this role, you will guide budget cycles, monitor revenue and expenses, ensure compliance, and coordinate financial data between UW and partner institutions.
What You'll Do
- Guide internal staff and partners through budget cycles and revenue/expense forecasting.
- Track progress against budget targets and explain discrepancies.
- Manage programs’ financial and budget records, reviewing for accuracy.
- Reconcile program revenues data to current MOUs and transfer funds to other universities accordingly.
- Continuously monitor revenue and expenses, identifying trends and potential issues.
- Reconcile revenues data to student enrollments data and process revenues transfer.
- Coordinate financial data and budget transfers between UW and partner institutions.
- Serve as an authorized procurement/purchasing coordinator for OPLR and conduct pre‐audit duties and process all contract requests through Workday and/or ShopUW+.
- Enter, review, and reconcile budget data in the budget system.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of financial models for revenue, expenses, and staffing.
- Establish and manage data banks for comprehensive financial analysis.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and implement policy changes.
- Communicate and provide interpretation of financial policies and practices to internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate and consistent financial data capture for reporting and performance measurements.
What We're Looking For
- Associate degree in business administration, finance, accounting or related field, or 3-5 years of work experience in a similar role.
Nice to Have

- Knowledge of University and State of Wisconsin financial, purchasing and budget policies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to research and resolve issues in a timely manner.

Benefits & Compensation
- Salary: $47,000 - $58,000 annually
