POSITION SPECIFICS The Financial Planning Analyst provides strategic financial support for Earth and Mineral Sciences by offering expert guidance on budgetary and fiscal matters. The role involves comprehensive financial oversight, analysis, and long-term planning aligned with institutional objectives and regulatory standards. The successful candidate will: - Conduct data-driven financial analysis and generate strategic recommendations - Develop and refine financial forecasting models - Manage budget activities and project financial specifications - Analyze financial reports and identify budget variances - Monitor financial performance and potential opportunities - Create financial dashboards for leadership - Perform financial assessments for new initiatives - Prepare annual operating budgets - Manage workforce planning and labor distribution - Ensure regulatory compliance and support audit processes - Collaborate with university departments - Potentially supervise staff members This position offers a flexible work arrangement combining remote and on-campus work. MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS For Senior Professional level: - Bachelor's Degree - 6+ years relevant experience - No specific certifications required For Advanced Professional level: - Bachelor's Degree - 3+ years relevant experience or equivalent education/experience combination - No specific certifications required BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES Employment requires successful background verification.
