uai is looking for a Financial Controller (m/f/d) to join its finance team in Budapest, Hungary. In this role, you will be responsible for financial planning, reporting, analysis, and closing processes for an international debt collection services group. You will have the opportunity to contribute to key international financial projects and drive financial discipline.
What You'll Do
- Participate in the annual business planning and mid-year forecasting for the parent company and group member companies.
- Conduct quarterly, monthly, weekly, and daily reporting, including P&L, headcount, KPI, and cash flow.
- Prepare actual/plan/forecast analyses and other regular and ad-hoc decision support reports.
- Actively participate in national and international financial projects.
- Prepare accruals for the monthly closing.
- Liaise with internal and external accountants of member companies in Hungarian and English.
- Depending on your knowledge, manage the conversion of payments in different currencies into HUF.
What We're Looking For
- 3-5 years of professional experience in finance or controlling.
- A B.Sc. degree in economics.
- Solid accounting knowledge.
- Strong MS Office skills with excellent proficiency in Excel.
- Fluency in written and spoken Hungarian and English.
- Openness to new challenges and a willingness to learn.
Nice to Have
- Qualification as a chartered accountant or advanced accounting knowledge.
- Skills in Power Pivot, Power BI, and data visualisation.
- Knowledge of MS Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- German language skills.
- Experience in foreign exchange swap or hedging processes.
