RemoteVA PH is hiring a Financial Controller to be the senior finance lead for a UK-based construction and property group. In this pivotal role, you will take full ownership of the finance function, bringing structure and reliable financial oversight across multiple companies, projects, and properties. You will serve as the backbone of the department, working directly with the Director.
What You'll Do
- Manage full bookkeeping and financial control across multiple companies and SPVs.
- Oversee bank reconciliations, accounts receivable/payable, and supplier payments.
- Handle VAT submissions, CIS requirements, and coordinate payroll.
- Prepare and maintain a rolling 13-week cashflow forecast, updated weekly.
- Produce monthly management accounts for each company.
- Track project and property financial performance (actuals vs. budgets).
- Maintain accurate director loan accounts and intercompany reconciliations.
- Provide clear and timely financial information to support strategic decisions.
- Ensure financial processes, documentation, and controls are consistently followed.
What We're Looking For
- Proven senior finance, bookkeeping, or financial controller experience.
- Strong ability to manage multiple entities simultaneously.
- Excellent cashflow forecasting and financial planning skills.
- Solid knowledge of UK VAT and CIS regulations.
- Comfortable working closely with a hands-on founder/Director.
Nice to Have
- Background in construction and/or property.
Team & Environment
You will work directly with the Director and report to them. This is a senior, hands-on position where you will be the core of the finance function.
