Responsible for comprehensive patient information verification for scheduled medical services. Duties encompass demographic, financial, and insurance data confirmation. Collects patient financial obligations including co-pays, deductibles, coinsurances, and prepayments. Generates service cost estimates, processes patient financial liability payments, and resolves insurance complexities. Primary focus involves collecting patient financial responsibilities before service delivery and ensuring smooth patient access. Major Responsibilities: 1. Initiates insurance company interactions for eligibility verification and account receivable collections. 2. Accurately calculates patient financial responsibilities through precise demographic information gathering. 3. Processes patient payments comprehensively. 4. Ensures pre-service authorization and referral documentation. 5. Strategically refers patients to Financial Counselors or Business Office. 6. Manages appointment rescheduling under departmental guidance. 7. Documents financial clearance status systematically. 8. Demonstrates thorough understanding of departmental policies. 9. Assesses patient coverage gaps and potential financial exposures. 10. Exhibits adaptability in dynamic work environments. 11. Performs supplementary duties supporting departmental effectiveness.
