Purple Dot Digital Limited is hiring a Financial Analyst I–II to join our Finance & Planning department in Lansing, Michigan. In this role, you will provide crucial support to business units by delivering tools, knowledge, and analysis to guide effective decision-making. Your work will center on cash & investment management, bond issuance & compliance, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), revenue forecasting, and rate making.
What You'll Do
- Support cash & investment management and cash management planning efforts.
- Support bond issuance & compliance activities.
- Perform financial planning & analysis (FP&A) and support revenue forecasting.
- Support rate making processes.
- Support financial reporting, tax compliance, accounting, and consolidations.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum of one year of professional finance or accounting experience (for FA I).
- Minimum of three years of professional finance or accounting experience (for FA II).
- Experience with corporate budget/forecast development, monthly financial reporting, and variance analysis.
- Experience with cash management, bond issuance & compliance, utility rate making, and revenue development.
- Experience identifying and implementing business process improvements.
- Familiarity with accounting and financial software systems.
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Power BI, Outlook, Teams, advanced Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
- Capital Expenditure experience.
- Understanding of the business, end-markets, competitive environment, and economic conditions impacting the company.
- Knowledge of GAAP and GASB.
- Experience with SAP-ECC financial software and BPC budgeting software.
- Understanding of the company's strategy, drivers, metrics, and data elements.
- Ability to apply financial and economic concepts, including financial modeling, DCF, contribution margin, financial ratios, NPV/IRR, and strategic analysis.
