The Coulson Group of Companies is seeking a Financial Analyst to support data-driven decision-making across our diverse operations. This role works closely with operational teams to analyze performance, develop financial models, and provide insights that drive budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning, playing a key part in our continued growth.
What You'll Do
- Analyze financial and operational performance across business units to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Partner with operations leaders to understand cost drivers, labour utilization, and program performance.
- Deliver clear analysis that supports decision-making at both the operational and leadership level.
- Build and maintain financial models used for budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Support the development of proposal and bid models for new contracts and business opportunities.
- Perform variance analysis and explain key drivers impacting financial performance.
- Develop and improve reporting tools that provide visibility into operational performance.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of operational data, including labour tracking, inventory movement, work orders, and job costing.
- Work with Finance and Operations to improve reporting processes and data quality.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting, forecasting, and operational analytics.
- Help strengthen the FP&A function as the company continues to grow.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Financial Analysis, or similar roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Strong financial modelling skills in Excel.
- Experience analyzing operational or cost-driven businesses.
- Ability to translate complex financial information into clear insights for non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and data integrity.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Power BI, SQL, or other data visualization tools is a strong asset.
- Experience working with NetSuite ERP or Oracle NetSuite Planning and Budgeting (NSPB) is an asset.

Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation: $70,000 – $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
