QBE is looking for a Finance Services Senior Specialist – Global Tax to join our team. This position is based in Manila or Cebu and plays a key role within the GSSC Group Functions Services (GFS) tower. Reporting to the Finance Services Associate Manager – Global Tax, you will ensure QBE’s tax compliance and reporting obligations are met globally, assist with tax audits, and provide ad-hoc tax advisory support to the business.
What You'll Do
- Monitor and review tax reports and returns working papers before final onshore sign-off.
- Prepare journal entries for assigned accounts and transactions.
- Provide relief cover for the Service Manager, including reviewing journal entries from team members.
- Perform the reconciliation process, including beginning reconciliation, matching, and aging of unreconciled items.
- Follow up on the resolution of unmatched and outstanding transactions.
- Lead the team in establishing channels for resolving outstanding items.
- Conduct detailed reviews of reconciling items and follow up on investigation statuses.
- Provide the Team Lead with regular account status updates.
- Act as relief overall champion for issue resolution, focusing on investigation, networking efficiencies, and process improvements.
