Ball Corporation is hiring a Finance Manager to oversee the accounts department for Benepack Belgium in Genk. You will lead daily accounting operations, ensure compliance with standards, and manage a team.

What You'll Do

• Lead the daily operations of the accounting department.
• Monitor and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles. Ensure compliance with company’s standards.
• Manage a team of accountants to assume responsibility for AP and AR as well as the general ledger. Work with GBS resources as necessary.
• Participate in cash flow preparation and ensure proper working capital management.
• Own local balance sheet, including monitoring of debtors and creditors, and cash flow management.
• Participate in month-end closing bookings, ensure compliance with deadlines and accuracy of financial data.
• Monitor and supervise month-end activities of the AP accountant.
• Work with advisors and central tax resource as necessary, prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual tax reports. Handle tax audits.
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly VAT returns, handle reconciliations with tax consultant and preparations for tax audits.
• Follow-up latest updates of tax laws and regulations and ensure effective implementation.
• Prepare necessary paperwork for tax payments and returns.
• Play a vital role during internal and external audits as well as tax audits.
• Ensure accuracy annual statutory reporting in accordance with local GAAP, and quarterly/annual reporting as per US-GAAP.
• Ensure compliance with SOX internal controls requirements, including monthly/quarterly/annual assessments.
• Monitor all relevant changes in local laws and tax regulations.
• Handle statistical reporting for local legal entities.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or Administration.
• 5 years of experience in accounting.
• Leadership experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and an ERP system (SAP preferable).
• Working knowledge of all Tax inspection requirements.
• Fluent English and Dutch.

Nice to Have

• Manufacturing background preferred.
