About the Role

Dealfront is hiring a Finance Manager on a fixed-term contract to be an integral part of our Finance team in Brighton. You will act as a business partner to the Chief Operating Officer and Managing Directors of several business units, responsible for a range of finance processes and providing robust financial planning and analysis support.

What You'll Do

  • Assist in understanding monthly financial statements and reporting, with a strong focus on revenue recognition versus sales/ARR reporting and explaining variances.
  • Own and support the income statement, analysing trends, managing KPIs, reporting, and providing recommendations to business leaders.
  • Provide financial analysis and insight through meaningful variance analysis commentary, risk management, deep dives, or financial modelling.
  • Support financial planning activities including understanding revenue forecasts, budgeting, reforecasting, and suggesting process improvements.
  • Prepare third-party commissions calculations.
  • Support M&A activities including due diligence preparation.
  • Collaborate with financial accounting teams to ensure alignment and continuous improvement of financial reporting.
  • Assist as required to provide audit support.
  • Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Develop and communicate enhanced insights on business performance and spend effectiveness.
  • Structure and evaluate problems, design applicable recommendations, and establish KPIs.
  • Be a trusted partner to leadership preparing executive management presentations.

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA).
  • Minimum 10+ years of related experience or equivalent in finance.
  • Preferably with business partnering experience in a software or technology industry.
  • Experience of M&A processes and due diligence.
  • Working knowledge of NetSuite 2.0.
  • Proficient in Excel and GoogleSheets.
  • Extremely high level of attention to detail with excellent organisational skills and strong time management skills.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and complex environments comfortably.
  • Experience in presenting to and interacting across multiple levels in the organization.
  • Professional, flexible, and able to succeed in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and written skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide variety of professional staff and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
