Wand is looking for its first dedicated Finance Manager to own the finance function end-to-end and build it into a scalable operation. Reporting to the COO, you will serve as the company's financial conscience, focusing on rigor, forecasting, and process architecture.
What You'll Do
- Manage outsourced bookkeeping relationship and drive a clean, on-time month-end close.
- Approve vendor and contractor payments with appropriate judgment and controls.
- Quarterback annual audit from kickoff to sign-off.
- Manage banking and credit facility relationships: cash positioning, covenant compliance, and draw decisions.
- Administer cap table and equity program, including option grants and exercises.
- Own multi-jurisdiction sales tax and VAT compliance across 20+ US states and international markets.
- Coordinate with external tax advisors on federal and state income tax, transfer pricing, and structuring.
- Monitor FX exposure from multi-currency revenue collection and flag hedging opportunities.
- Own and maintain quarterly growth model for revenue, margins, headcount, and cash flow.
- Deliver clear, decision-ready financial analysis to the COO and leadership team.
- Track key subscription software metrics: NRR, gross margin, CAC payback, and cohort economics.
- Prepare investor and board-level financial reporting.
- Build finance processes for 100 people: approval workflows, procurement, controls, and reporting cadences.
- Proactively surface contracts and vendor relationships worth renegotiating.
- Integrate AI into finance workflows from day one.
What We're Looking For
- 5–8 years of experience with roots in investment banking, Big 4, or a top-tier FP&A program.
- Real experience owning things in an operating company.
- Experience with subscription revenue models and SaaS metrics.
- Managed or meaningfully contributed to an external audit process.
- Ability to build a 3-statement model and a cash flow forecast from a blank page.
- Familiarity with indirect tax (sales tax, VAT) and multi-currency revenue environments.
Nice to Have
- Experience working at a company with 20–100 people when systems weren't built yet.
Team & Environment
You will be the first dedicated finance hire, reporting to the COO.

- Base salary: $150,000 – $180,000
