Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is hiring a Finance Director to serve as the top financial authority within our dynamic, growing organization in the building industry. In this senior leadership role, you will oversee all aspects of financial strategy, planning, and operations, driving innovation and efficiency to support our expansion.
What You'll Do
- Act as a trusted financial advisor to the executive team, delivering insights to support strategic initiatives, growth, and risk management.
- Translate organizational strategy into measurable financial targets, forecasts, and KPIs.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, multi-year modeling, and proforma development.
- Provide strategic financial guidance to leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Analyze and present financial trends and forecasts to inform decision-making.
- Oversee short- and long-term cash-flow planning to maintain liquidity and stability.
- Collaborate with leadership to evaluate capital investments, assess ROI, and support decisions on strategic growth, real estate, and technology.
- Optimize budgeting and financial planning processes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and actionable reporting.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, margin enhancement, and operational efficiency.
- Travel occasionally (around 10%) to offices throughout Texas.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Proven experience in Project Accounting.
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP and strong background in financial planning and analysis.
- Significant experience managing accounting operations, including payroll, A/R, A/P, invoicing, reconciliations, and project accounting.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
- Expertise in financial reporting, tax compliance, and risk management.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to design and manage complex spreadsheets.
Nice to Have
- CPA certification strongly preferred.
- Experience with VantagePoint or Deltek ERP systems preferred.
