Codeway is hiring a Finance Business Partner - Generalist

Responsibilities

  • Drive Bottom-Up App Vertical Forecasting & Business Cases: Own the bottom-up budgeting and monthly forecasting loops for your assigned product verticals. Partner directly with Vertical CEOs and Product Managers to turn features, monetisation tweaks, and product roadmaps into high-integrity driver-based models. Build localised business cases for product variations, premium monetisation tiers, and market expansions, pressure-testing their operational assumptions before they hit the corporate plan.
  • Own HQ Budgeting, Headcount, & Cost Center Optimisation: Act as the dedicated finance partner to our central HQ functions (Engineering, Data Analytics, Legal, and Talent Acquisition). Architect and manage the centralised cost-allocation framework that distributes shared overhead fairly down to individual app P&Ls. Partner with HR and Talent Acquisition to ensure hiring velocity, global payroll variations, and recruitment spend reconcile perfectly with approved budget envelopes.
  • Metric Integration & Ledger-to-Data Audit: Serve as the guardian of data integrity at the app level. Ensure that billing and performance data from internal dashboards and Looker sync perfectly with financial actuals in NetSuite. Routinely run diagnostic audits on app store fees, platform refunds, and payment gateway costs to protect net profit margins and calculate fully loaded unit economics.
  • Act as the vital link between decentralised product teams and the central Corporate FP&A team. Standardise and deliver your verticals' monthly bottom-up forecasts, headcount pacing, and investment requests to the Corporate Planning and Investment Optimisation seats. Ensure that your app-level P&L logic is completely synchronised with global corporate constraints and rolling cash flow horizons.
  • Growth UA Partnership & Baseline Collaboration: You own the baseline unit economic inputs (LTV CAC Payvack) for your specific apps. Regularly sync with localised Growth Managers to cross-verify that campaign pacing, creative pipeline investments, and localised network performance match the underlying assumptions in your vertical's rolling forecast.

Requirements

  • Experience: 3-6 years as an FP&A Analyst, Finance Business Partner, or Commercial Finance Analyst within a high-growth B2C digital consumer platform, mobile app studio, gaming company, or fast-paced tech startup.
  • Embedded Operator Mindset: You look forward, not backward. You completely avoid an audit-heavy or purely retrospective mindset; you treat finance as an agile, business-enabling growth partner and have the backbone to challenge leadership constructively.
  • Mobile Ecosystem Domain Fluency: Robust understanding of mobile app metrics (Active Users, Trial-to-Paid Conversion, Subscription Retention, Refund Curves) and platform billing structures.
  • High Technical Autonomy: Exceptional financial modeling skills in Excel. You treat prompt engineering (Claude for Excel) as a core capability and can seamlessly navigate business intelligence tools (Looker/Tableau) to manipulate raw data.
  • Asynchronous Workflow Adaptability: You thrive in an environment that defaults to documentation-first workflows in Notion, real-time alignment in Slack, and transparent, cloud-based data management over siloed email threads.

Benefits

  • Flexible Career Trajectory: We value high-performing builders. This role positions you at the absolute center of product execution and corporate finance. Success here charts a direct track toward senior finance leadership or strategic operational roles within our scaling app verticals.
  • Scale & Impact: The rare opportunity to control and optimise the financial health of hyper-growth apps generating millions in ARR within a highly profitable, self-funded scale-up environment ($400M+ ARR).
  • Culture: An energetic, high-performance environment where finance is treated as a strategic growth catalyst rather than administrative friction.
  • Full-time contract with competitive salary
  • Private health insurance, a generous meal card
  • Full visa & relocation support if you’re moving to Barcelona
  • Annual learning & development budget for courses, tools, or events that support your growth
  • Wellness perks, including sports budget and psychological consultations.
  • Free access to Codeway’s suite of apps across productivity, wellness, and education
  • A top-notch office in the heart of the city
