Puget Sound Energy was looking for a Finance Business Manager

Puget Sound Energy (PSE) is looking for a Finance Business Manager to play a critical role on our Financial Planning & Analysis team. You will support strategic investment in infrastructure and renewable energy projects by collaborating across the organization to develop financial plans and translate complex data into executive-ready insights that drive decision-making.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and consolidate the company's forecasts, budgets, and long-term plans.
  • Drive accuracy and timeliness of all financial reporting, including forecasts and metrics.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to provide analysis and guidance to department leadership.
  • Identify and drive improvements in budget, forecast, and reporting processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support department leadership with detailed financial analysis and planning, monitoring financial impacts of projects.
  • Create executive-ready deliverables that distill complex information into actionable insights.
  • Develop quantitative models independently that are error-free with strong logic.
  • Create and maintain dashboards using data visualization tools.
  • Solve data roadblocks independently and present solutions to Directors and above.
  • Monitor, analyze, and manage workload for optimal time management and prioritization.
  • Drive projects from start to finish with a strong sense of urgency and high-quality products.
  • Coach and mentor more junior level employees.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • 7+ years in finance roles with progressively increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills with the ability to interface effectively with all levels of management.
  • Ability to identify continuous improvement opportunities and takes initiative to drive solutions; works effectively without direct supervision in a fast paced, stressful and multitasking environment.

Nice to Have

  • Master's Degree in a quantitative field or MBA.
  • Applicable Finance Certification (CFA, CPA, CTP).
  • 5+ years of experience in the gas and/or electric industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and create capacity.
  • Ability to anticipate unique business decisions and situations and respond accordingly.
  • Experience leading and delivering projects under tight deadlines.
  • Work experience in a supervisory role.
