About the Role

Babcock International is looking for a Finance and Procurement Officer to ensure smooth, accurate, and compliant financial and procurement operations within our H&B Defence business. This role is central to managing the full lifecycle of transactional finance and purchasing activity, directly supporting budget accuracy, cashflow visibility, and the overall effectiveness of our financial operations.

What You'll Do

  • Own the end-to-end procure-to-pay process.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of transactional finance and purchasing activity, from supplier onboarding and contract preparation to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and daily banking.
  • Support procurement strategy by analysing spend, identifying opportunities for aggregation, and creating dashboards that help leaders make informed decisions.
  • Contribute to supplier relationship management and act as the subject matter expert for the procure-to-pay process.
  • Support month-end close, continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining meticulous records to ensure audit readiness and operational transparency.
  • Shape supplier relationships and strengthen commercial governance.
  • Play a key role in financial accuracy, controls, and continuous improvement.
