Prematch is looking for a Finance & Accounting Manager to own operational finance from accounting to tax advisory collaboration. You will manage our complete financial accounting in DATEV, ensure timely and correct reporting, and play a key role in financial decisions as we grow our mission to become Europe’s leading brand for creative play furniture.
What You'll Do
- Handle complete financial accounting in DATEV, including chart of accounts maintenance.
- Manage accounts receivable and payable, including open items, dunning, and supplier invoices.
- Create and submit VAT prepayments on time.
- Prepare and coordinate monthly and annual closings, including inventory and reconciliations.
- Process special tax topics (OSS, customs, Intrastat) with our tax advisor.
- Coordinate external payroll accounting.
- Maintain all accounting and tax documentation.
- Create management reports like BWA, CM3, fixed cost ratio, and contribution margin.
- Perform monthly cash flow planning and updates.
- Conduct budget versus actual analyses.
- Monitor and report on key financial KPIs.
- Work closely with management to inform financial decisions.
- Ensure timely submission of all tax returns (VAT, OSS, Intrastat).
- Provide complete and correct monthly and annual financial statements.
- Maintain transparent and current financial planning for cash flow, budget, and forecast.
- Ensure readiness for internal and external audits.
- Maintain clear communication with tax advisors, external partners, and internal stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
- Completed training or degree in finance, controlling, or accounting.
- 2–5 years of experience in accounting or finance within a startup or SME, preferably in e-commerce.
- Very good knowledge of DATEV and HGB.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- A structured, fast-paced work style with a strong desire to learn.
- Fluent German and solid English skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Shopify, Billbee, Klarna, Stripe, or e-commerce in general.
