Nordex SE is looking for a Field Support Technical Specialist to directly support our mission of delivering clean power plants. This role is pivotal in minimizing turbine downtime across Canada, involving travel to wind farms for on-site training, troubleshooting, and supporting both French and English-speaking teams.

What You'll Do

Support field Technicians with wind turbine troubleshooting and provide on-site training and evaluation.
Be available for dispatch to support and/or lead field corrective actions to minimize turbine downtime.
Work with new Site Management and Technician teams to implement internal processes and improve performance.
Evaluate turbine-specific problems, component failures, and analyze control data to offer solutions.
Utilize Service Now to manage communication, prioritization, and resolution of turbine issues.
Work closely with Technical Services to build a strong knowledge of multiple Wind Turbine Generator platforms.
Collaborate with other groups to establish improvements, update training, and enhance documentation.
Work proficiently with the MS Office suite (Excel, Outlook, Power BI, Project).

What We're Looking For

A minimum of a 2-year technical degree in electrical or electronics, or equivalent work experience.
Bilingual proficiency in English and French.
Ability to read schematics to diagnose electrical and mechanical problems.
Proven ability to manage multiple activities, organize work, meet deadlines, and coordinate teams.
Ability to grasp complex concepts, offer solutions, and successfully interact with all organizational levels.
Must be willing to travel to wind farms for on-site support and work based on 8 or 12-hour rotating shifts with flexibility for overtime.
Must meet a weight requirement of 120kg (265 lbs.) or less for safe use of climbing equipment.
Must be able to work in Canada with no Company sponsorship and possess a valid passport.
Ability to complete all Canadian regulatory pre-employment screening and pass a pre-employment physical.
Possess a full valid driver’s license and be insurable under our auto insurance policy.
Speak and understand English fluently to ensure safe and effective communication.

Nice to Have

A BA degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
Experience solving technical problems on electrical generating equipment.
Wind Farm Erection and Commissioning experience.
Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) or electrical generation experience.

Work Mode
