Kodiak Gas Services is hiring a Field Service Technician, Rotator for a fully proficient, senior-level position responsible for the operation of compressor packages and gas processes. You will act as an informal mentor and leader, applying advanced diagnostic and repair skills to maintain critical equipment. What You'll Do
- Direct, coordinate, and perform job activities aligned with company goals.
- Act as an informal mentor and leader within the area.
- Troubleshoot all complex repairs, major equipment overhauls, and electrical issues.
- Participate in HSE activities and act as a safety expert and role model.
- Cultivate, build, and maintain customer relationships.
- Take corrective actions to ensure guaranteed 98% or better mechanical availability.
- Provide input to the Area Manager on personnel and budget planning.
- Analyze job parts and inventory, communicating with Supply Chain for optimal performance.
- Maintain assigned units in a clean and presentable condition.
- Complete required reports and actions per area procedures.
- Provide 24/7 coverage for the duration of each 14-day shift, including overtime and on-call rotations after hours, on weekends, and holidays.
- May backfill Lead as necessary.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of Kodiak's Short Service Employee (SSE) program, plus a minimum of 3 years in an intermediate-level Field Technician role.
- 5+ years total of compression process, production, and equipment-related experience and/or training.
- Advanced Electrical Troubleshooting skills.
- Key competencies: teamwork, effective communication (written and oral), analytical capability, strong mechanical aptitude, self-motivation, self-control, initiative, planning and problem solving, and customer focus.
- Advanced and complete knowledge of compressor packages, including all components and systems.
- Expert knowledge of relevant HSE procedures and regulations.
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Valid Driver's License, with a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) within acceptable company policy.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Nice to Have
- OEM, Trade School and/or 5+ years comparable work experience in a related field/industry.
- CAT Certifications.
- Waukesha Certification.
- Ariel Certification.
