Role Overview
As a Field Service Technician, you will ensure the reliable operation of medical linear accelerators and imaging systems across the Naples, FL region. Your primary responsibility is to conduct scheduled preventive maintenance outside regular business hours, directly at customer facilities. This role demands technical precision, adherence to safety protocols, and consistent representation of high service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on complex medical systems according to documented procedures
- Manage a dynamic schedule to support timely service delivery across multiple customer sites
- Identify and escalate technical issues as needed, coordinating with senior staff when necessary
- Complete and submit service documentation, work orders, and expense reports promptly
- Maintain accurate records for consigned parts and service activities
- Communicate follow-up actions to assigned team members to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications and Requirements
Successful candidates must demonstrate strong organizational and communication abilities, both with internal teams and external clients. You should be comfortable interpreting technical manuals and applying foundational knowledge of electronic, electro-mechanical, and fluid systems. Proficiency with handheld diagnostic tools such as digital multimeters and oscilloscopes is essential.
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be able to meet all credentialing requirements for access to healthcare facilities. This includes passing background checks, drug screenings, immunizations, and annual TB testing. Completion of required technical training for hardware maintenance is mandatory.
Proficiency with email, Microsoft Office applications, and enterprise systems is expected. Candidates must reside near Naples or be willing to relocate. Reliable access to client sites is a core requirement of the role.
Preferred Background
Formal vocational training or military experience in electronics is highly valued. Candidates with hands-on technical experience in similar diagnostic or therapeutic medical equipment will be prioritized.
Work Environment
This is a field-based position requiring regular travel to customer locations. Work is performed primarily outside standard business hours to minimize disruption to clinical operations. The role supports a network of healthcare providers committed to delivering advanced treatments.
