Kodiak Gas Services is looking for an Entry-Level Field Service Technician to assist in running compression jobs and take responsibility for operating compressor packages and equipment. This position provides feedback for developing operating policies and material forecasts while building foundational diagnostic and repair skills.

What You'll Do

Perform job activities consistent with company procedures, protocols, goals, and objectives.
Troubleshoot basic issues and build your troubleshooting skill set through on-the-job and classroom training.
Attend and participate in all HSE meetings and ensure adherence to all HSE protocols.
Analyze job parts and supply inventory to effectively communicate needs with Supply Chain.
Maintain customer relationships.
Take all corrective actions necessary to ensure 98% or better mechanical availability of equipment.
Maintain assigned units in a clean and presentable condition.
Complete proper reports and actions required by area operating procedures and policies.
Provide 24/7 coverage.
Work overtime and be available for on-call rotations, including after hours, weekends, and holidays.

What We're Looking For

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Successful completion of Kodiak’s Short Service Employee (SSE) program.
1-year of compression process, production, and equipment related experience and/or training.
Electrical Troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Valid Driver’s License, with Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) within acceptable company parameters.

Nice to Have

OEM, Trade School, or comparable work experience in a related field or industry.
Some knowledge in gas processes, mechanics of motor compressors (Waukesha, Ariel, Caterpillar, etc.).
Possess basic knowledge of compressor packages, including some components and systems.
Working knowledge of relevant HSE procedures and regulations.
Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
