Motorola Solutions is looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for installing and supporting WatchGuard Video applications and hardware for public safety clients across the Eastern Region. This role involves hands-on technical implementation, troubleshooting, and end-user training, with significant travel.
What You'll Do
- Install and support WatchGuard Video applications at client sites, which can be Azure cloud based, Linux based, or Windows based.
- Develop and implement the most efficient and cost-effective solutions.
- Evaluate system specifications for business requirements.
- Work closely with management to prioritize business goals and information needs.
- Install and support WatchGuard Video In-Car Police Video hardware.
- Train end users on the functionality of the end-to-end usage of the video system.
What We're Looking For
- A High School diploma, Technical Certificate, Associates, or Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years of experience in one of the following: LMR, RF Systems, Radio Communications, Radio Frequency, Motorola equipment, Wireless Communication Systems, IT Systems, Telecommunications, and Public Safety experience.
- Must be able to obtain a background clearance as required by government customers.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's 'Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy' and requires passing a stringent fingerprint background check.
Nice to Have
- Good communication skills verbal and written.
- 3+ years of experience working in a Field Service environment.
- Experience installing and implementing processes.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
