Transport is looking for a Field Engineer to join our Service Management team in Dublin. You will be responsible for the maintenance of critical IT and Radio Frequency (RF) equipment used in Emergency Services vehicles and Control Centres. This is a field-based position requiring frequent travel across Dublin and Leinster.
What You'll Do
- Maintain equipment using contract manuals and adhere to Telent QEHS/ISO standards.
- Deliver preventative maintenance and break/fix support, escalating recurring faults.
- Complete site documentation accurately and on time.
- Provide out-of-hours on-call support.
- Monitor solutions to prevent outages and assist with root cause analysis.
- Manage workflow, escalate third-party requirements, and complete RMA processes.
What We're Looking For
- Experience maintaining IT and RF equipment in Emergency Services vehicles and Control Centres.
- A full driving licence.
- Strong understanding of health and safety protocols.
- Quick learner with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Field experience in wireless and wired networks.
- Ability to work at height.
Nice to Have
- IP and RF technical skills.
- Experience with networks, PCs, and radio frequency equipment/products.
- Understanding of wireless and radio technologies.
- HND/HNC/ONC or equivalent, or relevant experience, level 6/7 check.
