About the Role

Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre invites applications for a prestigious two-year international Fellowship for Radiation Oncologists. The role is structured with 80% research and 20% clinical focus, providing a unique training opportunity across two world-leading cancer centres: Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne, Australia (year 1) and The Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester, UK (year 2).

What You'll Do

  • Undertake supervised research across both institutions, contributing to high-impact, collaborative projects with potential for global influence.
  • Contribute to academic outputs, including presenting at departmental meetings, conferences, and submitting peer-reviewed publications.
  • Practice as a radiation oncologist with minimal supervision in the clinical component of the role.
  • Contribute to the academic productivity of your tumour stream, completing a research project and actively participating in other research, clinical, and educational activities.

Team & Environment

You will be supervised across both institutions. The Fellowship is designed to accelerate innovation and impact in global cancer care, offering structured collaboration with leading clinicians, researchers, and academics.

  • Salary will be on the Peter Mac and The Christie scales, commensurate with clinical and research experience.

Work Mode

This is an onsite position located in Melbourne, Australia (Year 1) and Manchester, UK (Year 2).

All appointments are made subject to a satisfactory police check and may include vaccination requirements.
