MyFlorida’s Department of Management Services seeks a Family Support Worker OPS to play a vital role in supporting families and Child Protective Investigators. You will help families access the services they need to remain safe, stable, and self-sufficient, and assist investigators in maintaining client caseloads.
What You'll Do
- Assist investigators in maintaining a caseload of families receiving social services.
- Assist clients in completing forms for services and benefits.
- Help individuals and families in providing and arranging for social, medical, education, employment, training, daycare, and housing services.
- Provide materials about nutrition, infant development, and parenting skills.
- Ensure immunizations and well-baby visits are received in a timely manner.
- Assist individuals and families in learning how to access community services.
- Work with families to develop a family support plan.
- Conduct interviews to collect household data to assist household members.
- Coordinate necessary transportation for families.
- Maintain and update client files.
- Participate in trainings.
- Make referrals for emergency and ongoing services within the agency and to other agencies.
- Maintain liaison with community agencies and service organizations to determine the results of services rendered.
- Provide phone and client contact support.
- Perform related work as required.
What We're Looking For
- A High School Diploma.
- You must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
- You must possess an operational private vehicle for use in daily work activities. Selected applicants must provide proof of vehicle registration and appropriate insurance coverage.
Team & Environment
You will directly support Child Protective Investigators as part of a team focused on family and child welfare.
Work Mode
This role requires onsite work in Labelle/Naples, Florida.
