Waveguide LLC, part of Compass Group, is looking for a Facilities Management Director to lead the overall management of the Plant Operations & Maintenance Departments within our hospital campus environment. You will plan, prioritize, and control functions and activities to ensure the seamless operation of our healthcare facilities.
What You'll Do
- Review and evaluate existing programs, services, policies, and procedures.
- Meet with hospital client and staff to plan, prioritize, coordinate, and communicate programs and policies.
- Supervise work flow and quality to assure completion of workload and adherence to facility standards.
- Prepare and lead departmental budgets, including a utilities energy savings program.
- Handle and ensure compliance with regulatory bodies including The Joint Commission, State Health Department, EPA, DEP, ADA, UST, and others.
- Supervise work performance and prepare or review performance evaluations for assigned personnel.
- Guide employees on personnel policies and employee relations programs.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise construction and development of physical facilities.
- Review, evaluate, and recommend approval of construction plans.
- Serve as liaison with contractors, architects, engineers, and material and equipment suppliers.
What We're Looking For
- 2 years of responsibility at a Director Level OR 5 years at a Director Level in Engineering, Maintenance, and Construction within a healthcare institution, plus related continuous education.
- The ability to read, comprehend, and transmit complicated detailed instructions orally and in writing.
- Previous Facilities Management experience in an acute care hospital is required.
- Proficiency in CMMS Systems, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to meet established goals and objectives.
- A strong knowledge and understanding of healthcare building mechanical, structural, and electrical systems.
- Knowledge and expertise in NFPA, TJC, CMS, DNV, EPA, and OSHA codes and regulations, with the ability to interpret and implement them.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Certified Health Care Facility Manager (CHFM) certification.
