Lincoln Financial is hiring an External Wholesaler - Retirement Plans to join our team. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a business plan to achieve sales and growth goals within your assigned territory of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and the Florida panhandle. You will build, enhance, and direct relationships with firms and institutions to expand our Retirement Plan Services offerings.
What You'll Do
- Build and direct a more complex relationship platform by identifying senior contacts within targeted firms to achieve profitable sales and product breadth growth.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure the proper processing of all sold products from sale to issuance.
- Conduct firm and in-person meetings, including due diligence meetings, one-on-one meetings, and speaking opportunities, to achieve sales targets.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of existing and targeted firms, including their market segments, operations, and value propositions.
- Develop and maintain a more complex sales program to increase revenue and market share within your assigned area.
- Increase penetration in your territory by optimizing and growing relationships within existing firms.
- Maintain sales call data in appropriate systems and complete sales reports.
- Meet or exceed all departmental sales goals and targets for your assigned territory.
- Utilize expense budgets to set limits and maximize sales opportunities.
- Work effectively to support growth in all segments of Lincoln's products and service offerings to capitalize on cross-sell opportunities.
- Adhere to Lincoln Financial's Culture of Compliance and comply with all policies and procedures.
What We're Looking For
- 3-5 years of external sales experience in the financial services industry directly aligned with the specific responsibilities of this role.
- FINRA Series SIE, 6, 63, and Life & Health licenses.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Must reside within the sales territory (Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida panhandle).
- Analytical skills and close attention to detail necessary for processing investment documents.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Skill in writing grammatically correct routine business correspondence.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a changing work environment.

- Compensation range of $215,000 - $480,000, with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint.

Work Mode
This is a remote position. You must be located in the specified sales territory, with Baton Rouge, Louisiana noted as a key location.
