Responsibilities
- Manage and support Windows, Linux, and cloud-based servers (Azure, AWS, VMware)
- Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity; troubleshoot and resolve incidents
- Provide Tier 3 support for escalated issues from IT support teams
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
- Automate system provisioning, configuration management, and deployments
- Design and optimize cloud environments for scalability, security, and cost efficiency
- Manage VMware clusters, storage systems, and networking
- Support containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) where applicable
- Enforce identity and access management best practices (Active Directory, LDAP, SSO, MFA)
- Implement and monitor security hardening, patching, and vulnerability management
- Ensure compliance with company and industry standards (ISO, SOC2, HIPAA, etc.)
- Partner with developers, network engineers, and security teams to deliver resilient solutions
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across the IT organization
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and post-incident reviews
