Hunt St is looking for an Experienced Sales & Production Estimator to play a key role in ensuring the profitability of our home building business. You'll be responsible for accurate estimating, cost-saving initiatives, and supporting both our sales and construction teams. Your work will directly contribute to building a 5-star builder reputation.
What You'll Do
- Produce accurate final Bill of Quantities (BOQs) for each specific build within 5 business days of submission.
- Provide estimating plan markups for errors and variations missing on plans.
- Report site start margins against sales margins and provide feedback on any discrepancies.
- Deliver completed purchase orders to the construction team within 2 business days for non-urgent items and immediately for urgent items.
- Support and work collaboratively with the construction team to ensure optimum efficiency.
- Produce accurate fixed-price sales tenders within an average of 2 business days of submission.
- Ensure all completed tenders and Post Tender Variations (PTV) achieve quality standards and are competitive and profitable with at least 25% margin / 35% markup.
- Produce accurate fixed-price Post Tender Variations (PTV) within an average of 2 business days.
- Support and work collaboratively with the sales team to ensure winning tender submissions.
- Produce Tenders and PTVs as part of the client journey, ensuring accurate detail is included as a base point for the entire operation and in line with relevant policies.
- Support all staff members in building the company towards being a 5-star builder.
- Participate in weekly team meetings.

- In-depth understanding of construction process, building concepts and processes.
- Strong numerical literacy.
- Ability to provide plan, colour selection document, and variation feedback if something doesn't work or look incorrect.
- A structural trade qualification such as bricklaying or carpentry, or 2–3 years of construction supervision experience.
- A Cert IV Building & Construction, Diploma in Building & Construction, Construction Management Degree, or equivalent qualification.
- Estimating experience.

Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation: $1500 AUD - $1800 AUD per month.
