What You'll Do
Support attorneys in managing casualty litigation cases involving products liability, auto accidents, construction incidents, and personal injury claims. Gather and assess critical documentation such as medical records, employment histories, and financial data to build case foundations.
Organize trial materials including exhibit binders, witness summaries, and trial notebooks. Conduct detailed reviews of discovery responses, transcripts, and investigative records to identify key evidence. Maintain accurate logs, status updates, and document indexes to ensure case readiness.
Communicate with clients, external counsel, and court personnel to coordinate case activities. Perform legal and medical research to support case strategy, including evaluating expert backgrounds and reviewing prior testimony. Assist in preparing for depositions, hearings, and trial through thorough investigation and analysis.
Requirements
Must have 3 to 5 years of direct litigation experience in a law firm or legal setting. A Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree is required. Familiarity with medical chronologies and expert analysis is essential. Experience managing case files and coordinating discovery is strongly preferred.
A Paralegal Certificate from an American Bar Association-approved program is a plus. Candidates should demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently within a structured legal environment.
