The Boeing Company is looking for an Experienced or Senior Solution Consultant to join Jeppesen ForeFlight’s Global Presales organization. In this role, you will apply deep performance engineering knowledge to support sales engagements, develop strong value propositions for customers, and lead on-site consultancy work to translate customer needs into business solutions.
What You'll Do
- Apply performance engineering knowledge to deliver technical support to sales engagements by focusing on product value propositions.
- Analyze customer business processes, identify customer pain points, and propose recommended improvements through our product offerings.
- Present and demonstrate technical system abilities and benefits of products.
- Identify tangible & nontangible benefits and compile this information into key performance indicators that drive a strong business case for our customers.
- Lead, plan, and execute consulting studies, tests and evaluations (T&Es), proof of concepts, and/or benchmarks in a team environment.
- Assist in the identification of future sales opportunities (leads).
- Identify and communicate product enhancement opportunities to product owners.
- Drive RFP business/functional response activities.
- Represent the organization as a technical expert on projects and at industry conferences.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years experience working with commercial airline operations.
- Prior experience as an aviation Performance Engineer or related role within an airline, manufacturing, consulting, or regulatory environment.
- Ability for global travel to airline customers (approximately 25%).
Nice to Have
- 7+ years experience working with commercial airline operations.
- Experience using or developing flight performance calculation workflows (e.g., takeoff and landing distances, climb performance, fuel consumption and range estimation, cruise speeds and altitudes, and/or weight and balance analysis).
- Prior experience developing or implementing solutions that help airlines reduce fuel costs, improve payload capacity, and/or optimize flight routes.
- Familiarity with performance regulatory standards (e.g., FAR Part 25, ICAO Annex 6).
- Experience with simulation and modeling using performance predictions and flight test data.
- Working knowledge of fuel efficiency software solutions.
- Experience in a technical presales (sales engineering) role.
- A degree in Engineering, Science, Technology, Mathematics, or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbally and written).
- Creative problem-solving capability, strong analytical and listening skills.
- Ability to interact with different cultures and at different leadership levels with ease.

- Compensation: Level 4: $113,900.00-$154,100.00, Level 5: $143,650.00-$194,350.00
Work Mode
This is a virtual role with a global scope. Candidates are expected to travel to airline customers worldwide.
