The Center for Internet Security (CIS) is hiring an Executive Vice President and General Manager of Operations, Intelligence, and Support (OIS). You will lead the business unit that provides cybersecurity services and products to U.S. State, Local, Tribal, and Territorial (SLTT) organizations. Reporting directly to the President and CEO, you will have P&L responsibility for a diverse portfolio, guiding a rapidly growing organization with current revenue of approximately $50M per year.
What You'll Do
- Develop a vision and multi-year strategy to improve security resilience for approximately 90,000 SLTT organizations through collaborative stakeholder engagement.
- Manage the execution of the Multi-state Information Sharing and Analysis Center (MS-ISAC) fee-based membership offerings, including performance against service levels and financial targets.
- Continuously improve MS-ISAC program performance and the effectiveness of cross-organizational support for its members.
- Provide programmatic leadership on the MS-ISAC strategic plan, implementing systems for tracking and reporting progress.
- Translate leading cybersecurity trends and customer needs into a product and service roadmap that increases customer value.
- Lead, motivate, and mentor the OIS staff to ensure effective performance and skill development to meet expanding mission demands.
- Establish and maintain executive-level engagement with officials in state/local organizations, the Department of Homeland Security, Congress, and other Federal agencies.
- Publicly represent CIS with external stakeholders including community groups, governmental agencies, non-profits, and private corporations.
- Provide executive management of CIS's Security Operations functions, including the 24x7 Security Operations Center (SOC), the Cyber Incident Response Team (CIRT), the Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) organization, and the Multidimensional Threat Team (MTT).
- Guide engagement with senior ISAC stakeholders, including the Executive Committees of the MS-ISAC.
- Engage with U.S. and international organizations to share cybersecurity best practices.
- Identify and lead the pursuit of new business areas where CIS can have significant impact.
- Identify and engage in senior-level outreach and speaking opportunities on behalf of CIS.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Minimum of seven years as an executive leader for a rapidly growing, customer-focused cybersecurity organization serving a large, diverse set of stakeholders.
- Minimum of five years operating a business unit with P&L responsibility.
- Minimum of five years working closely with federal, state, and local government officials.
- Minimum of five years of progressive experience managing very large-scale cybersecurity operations organizations.
- Proven record of strategy development, organizational innovation, and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience developing budgets, managing departmental budget execution, and solid financial acumen.
- Demonstrated experience leading in a complex, multi-stakeholder organization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and professional demeanor.
- Exemplary personal and professional integrity.
- Must be a citizen of the United States of America.
- Must have or be eligible for a national security clearance.
Nice to Have
- MBA or Master’s degree in a related field.
- Demonstrated experience leading highly innovative and entrepreneurial organizations.
- Experience implementing leading-edge security products and establishing security monitoring capabilities for very large enterprises.
- Ten years managing security operations organizations.
- Familiarity with state and local information technologies and organizations.
- Experience in managing Federal grants.
- Knowledge of elections processes and infrastructures.

Team & Environment
You will provide direct leadership and oversight of a staff of approximately 50 CIS employees. You will manage intracompany support from CIS’s Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Support organizations. You will report directly to the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CIS.
Benefits & Compensation
- Annual compensation range: USD $300,000.00 - $400,000.00.
