Just the Pill is hiring an Executive Director to lead our fully-remote abortion care and sexual health clinic. This is a mission-critical role for a values-driven leader who can hold the organization's vision while delivering people-centered patient care and fostering a healthy, sustainable workplace.
What You'll Do
- Translate mission, vision, and values into priorities, goals, and strategies, fostering shared accountability for safe, inclusive, high-quality care.
- Manage day-to-day operations, including directly supervising three direct reports, creating standard operating procedures, and measuring strategic progress.
- Develop systems for tracking key metrics and reporting on goal progress, regularly assessing alignment of services with strategic intent.
- Ensure regulatory and safety compliance, working with the Medical Director on medical credentialing, licensure, and quality assurance.
- Protect privacy, trust, and safety through responsible use of digital systems and tools.
- Ensure strong fiscal management, partnering with the Board and accounting team to monitor expenses, recommend budgets, and prepare the annual audit.
- Align budget decisions with strategic priorities, preparing an annual budget for Board approval and establishing compensation guidelines.
- Oversee the development and implementation of a sustainable fundraising plan in collaboration with the Development Director.
- Ensure policies and practices align with the organization's equity commitments and stated values.
- Work with the Director of People and Culture to foster a supportive, collaborative, and inclusive work environment.
- Build systems that support sustainable work, including staff support, professional development, safety, healthy boundaries, and feedback.
- Use data and patient voices to adapt strategy and operations in response to changing political, legal, funding, or community conditions.
- Identify and sustain strategic partnerships, serving as the lead representative to the Board, partners, coalitions, funders, and the public.
- Prepare and present reporting for donors, the Board, and other stakeholders.
- Work with the Development Director to maintain strong funder relationships and provide regular impact updates.
- Work with Communications to adjust messaging and engagement strategies in response to external legal or political shifts.

- Demonstrated experience leading nonprofit teams and operational systems.
