Standard Chartered is hiring an Executive Director, Cash Management Sales, Americas. In this role, you will lead cash management sales for US-headquartered clients both domestically and throughout our global network, with a focus on the Consumer Healthcare Retail (CHS) portfolio. You will be responsible for originating cash management revenues and deepening market penetration by structuring and implementing cash management, liquidity, and transactional FX solutions, while collaborating on cross-sell opportunities with trade and FX teams.
What You'll Do
- Pro-actively lead cash management opportunity development for selling solutions across cash, liquidity, and transactional FX with the Consumer Healthcare Retail teams.
- Take the lead in identifying client needs, engaging key influencers and decision makers, developing solutions, and leading client proposals and pitches.
- Deliver innovative ideas, including digitalization solutions, and share knowledge with peers and externally.
- Navigate the organization to solve complex issues to elevate the level of cash solutions and client service.
- Take direct responsibility for cash revenue and transaction banking liabilities within your assigned portfolio and cross-sell into other transaction banking products.
- Work with the coverage team to agree and deliver cash revenue and activity targets as part of client account planning.
- Engage closely with Implementation during client on-boarding and ad hoc projects.
- Introduce new innovations to the market segment through collaboration and co-creation.
- Collaborate with the Structured Solutions Development (SSD) team to capture strategic treasury agendas and complex cash management transactions.
- Ensure post-sales service issues are managed appropriately by relevant departments.
- Leverage client relationships to identify and execute on opportunities through a deep understanding of client needs, footprint, and decision-making processes.
- Originate and develop customized client proposal solutions, including RFPs, adhering to global processes around conduct, sales disciplines, and pipeline management.
- Proactively manage client revenue issues, including regular pricing reviews for optimization and proper revenue recognition.
- Work closely with Product Management to structure solutions, provide feedback on customer needs, and collaborate on new product developments.
- Document negotiations for new-to-bank business with relevant stakeholders and ensure end-to-end sales discipline.
- Coordinate with service teams to manage sales service issues and complete regular service reviews.
What We're Looking For
- At least 10 to 12 years of relevant cash management sales experience in a global transaction sales role covering the global cash business for US-based global corporates.
- Strong competitive market knowledge and a broad banking background with deep knowledge of transaction banking cash and liquidity products.
- Strong executive impact and a proven track record of new-to-bank sales success.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and influencing skills.
- Proven ability to work in a collaborative cross-border team environment with multi-cultural stakeholders.
- Ability to identify client needs, present cash management solutions, and close deals with top corporates in the segment.
- Ability to engage clients through face-to-face and virtual meetings with travel required (generally up to 20% of time).
- A Bachelor's Degree.
Nice to Have
- Industry experience within the consumer, healthcare, or retail services industry.
- An MBA.
- Training in cash management and liquidity management with a focus on consumer, healthcare, and retail services.
- AFP membership.
- CTP certification.
Team & Environment
You will work closely with internal Coverage Global Account Managers, product, implementation, and service teams along with risk and legal/compliance groups.
Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation range: $208,000 USD to $260,000 USD.
Work Mode
This role follows a hybrid work model and is located in the Americas.
