Kids' Food Basket is hiring an Executive Assistant to provide high-level administrative and strategic support to the Chief Executive Officer and the Vice President of Communications and Community Engagement. In this role, you will help ensure effective executive operations and strong stakeholder relationships, directly contributing to our mission of building a more nourished future for children in West Michigan.
What You'll Do
- Provide high-level administrative support to the CEO and VP, including calendar management, meeting coordination, travel arrangements, and preparation of briefing materials and correspondence.
- Serve as a primary liaison to the Board of Directors by coordinating meetings, preparing board packets, maintaining records, and documenting minutes.
- Coordinate internal communications and leadership meetings to ensure alignment between executive priorities and organizational initiatives.
- Support community engagement and external relations by coordinating speaking engagements, advocacy meetings, and public-facing events.
- Prepare donor summaries, track donor engagement activities, and support relationship management with community partners.
- Track action items and follow-ups from executive and board meetings to ensure priorities move forward.
- Maintain organized systems for confidential documents and provide administrative support for special projects.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years of experience supporting senior executives.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
- Political savvy, strong judgment, and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Experience preferably in a nonprofit, public sector, or mission-driven organization.
- Experience working with or supporting boards of directors.
